This Circle meets, usually on the first Monday of the month (except during the Summer holidays), at 7:30 pm in the hall of St Benedict’s Catholic Church, 10 Hall Road, Handforth, SK9 3AD. Click MAP for a map and instructions on how to get there.

The Meeting starts with a Mass and is followed by coffee and biscuits; the talk itself starts at about 8:15 p.m., and a discussion follows. Click PROGRAMME for the programme for the 2010-2011 season.  

The next meeting is on 4th July and is entitled “Some Ponderings - in the light of Jesus's resurrection and Mary's Assumption - that our faith is really about transformation of bodiliness not spirituality”. The speaker is Fr. Tom Cullinan OSB.

On June 25th there will be a Quiet Day at St Katherine's House, Salford, when there will be an opportunity to see Into Great Silence about life in a Carthusian Monastery.

The January talk was an illustrated talk on icons by Fr Gregory Hallam, Orthodox priest. Some parishioners, including icon painters, contributed. He has kindly given us the icons shown, in two formats. Click on required format to download: Powerpoint or PDF .
